This has got to be the most amusing and well edited movie mashup I've ever seen.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
And to give you an idea of what to expect, there's a Trailer.

I went to see Cloverfield today. Guess what trailer accompanied it?
No, not Star Trek (although that was shown too). Doctor Who series 4! And unlike the preview after Voyage of the Damned, this one actually got me wanting to see it.
I did this last year, I thought I'd post it again this year too.

Really! (although its a horrible photo of me)
This one is better, dressed as the Technomage, Galen (Babylon 5/Crusade).
Today was the London Film and Comic Con, which was very Heroes orientated. I tried to meet Patrick Stewart as well but the queue just to get virtual tickets spanned the width of the convention hall.
I also found this sitting outside the Underground station at Earl's Court. It wasn't anywhere near the convention so it wasn't part of it.
I was amused that The Doctor was right when he said "let me tell you something about the human race. You put a mysterious blue box slap bang in the middle of town and what do they do? Walk past it." People were just ignoring it.

I started listening to the Star Trek 6 soundtrack and then dinner was ready. So I go downstairs to eat, turn on the TV and Star Trek 6 is just starting.

What do you get if you take the audio from the Pulp Fiction trailer and mix it with video from Revenge of the Sith?
Sith Fiction
There's also another Star Trek vs Star Wars video but it's not as good as the one I posted before.
Today, I was out walking and I glanced at my shadow. I've let my hair grow longer than usual and it shows...because it made my shadow look like Darth Vader's, with the helmet and everything :D
I wish I had my camera with me for that...

[Darth_Angelus] hmm, you know the war isn't going to end well when the admiral commanding the fleet is seeing his wife, even though she's apparently been dead for years
[Darth_Angelus] they realised the admiral was a problem when he was discovered walking around the ship in his pjs looking for his dead wife
[astromog] Darth_Angelus: why is that a sign of a problem? the crew of the enterprise just took it in their stride that picard would wander around in his pjs asking what year it is

Collectormania 10

pleased
This weekend, I went to Collectormania 10 in Milton Keynes. I got to meet Alice Krige (The Borg Queen in Star Trek), Juliet Landau (Drusilla from Buffy) and Amber Benson (Tara, also in Buffy). I also wanted to meet Dave Prowse, I've met him before on my 13th birthday, so it would have been good to do the same again for my 23rd) but sadly I ran out of time.
Pictures!
I don't like what my hair did.
Also, see my cousin in the stormtrooper picture :)
I didn't get a picture with Amber Benson, the girl sitting next to her was being...difficult...but I found one from last year. Also last year I gave her a copy of Consanguinity on DVD, which she remembered and talked about with me today, she actually watched and liked it! :D
I also saw Julie Caitlin Brown again, she was managing and not appearing as a guest. Still, I got to say hello and she told me to stop growing up so fast :)
I had a good time, but now I should finish reading for college tomorrow. I really hope I don't have to take the big stack of books with me.

Today marks 40 years since the first episode of Star Trek was originally broadcast.
It seems strangely fitting that I finished my run through of Deep Space Nine just now as well.
To the crew of the Enterprise, Defiant and Voyager *raises his bottle of water*

Upgrades and Youtube

I finally got around to updating my site, now there is a link to the new gallery on the main nav bar.
A few days ago, I received an email from YouTube, apparently they had removed the trailers for Falling into Darkness and The Darkness Consumes, due to copyright infringement. I spoke to
boter about it, he pointed me towards the fanfilm forums.
Quite a few Star Wars fanfilms/videos were being removed the same way. But it turns out it was all a misunderstanding. Lucasfilm had asked for one video to be removed (I'm guessing the very impressive tech demo), Youtube didn't quite get that. Fortunately and quite surprisingly, Lucasfilm insisted YouTube restore all of the fan videos, so it's all sorted.
While on the subject of YouTube:
Darth Vader having too much fun at General Veer's expense>
A clip from Star Wars Special Edition Director's Cut Director's edition cut special edition edition dvd
Finally, coming soon...the first look at what I've been working on for the last few months ;)
EDIT: ( Which Star Trek character am I? )

Michelle and Kheri (Britannica Dreams Productions) have been running monthly contests to create one minute machinima films.
This month, the goal was to recreate one minute from a real movie. So here is my entry.

Part of the contest is to guess what the movie is, so please go ahead :)
NOTE:
vanwasigma and
rosemilk are not allowed to guess, it's far too easy for both of you ;)

music: Battlestar Galactica - Reuniting the Fleet
I've uploaded photos from my recent trip to America. There were so many (338 out of 496 uploaded), I decided it would be easier to setup another gallery, rather than use my old one (it's still there).
It's a rare chance to see me wearing something that isn't black.
My personal favourites:
Machinima gathering
CoyoteRepublic and I (my agent)
Caution Sign
Meeting Tiff and her brother
Neo's Coat I really wanted to "borrow" it
On the bridge of the Enterprise
Meeting a Ferengi
Meeting a Klingon
Meeting the Borg
Another Klingon
Quark's Bar
Meeting the Andorian Female
Helicoptor I didn't go in it. I went in this one instead :D

So I have scanned the first picture from my trip. I can assure you all that it is completely unedited.
So now I present the best picture of myself that I have (it looks better in person, I'll see about scanning a higher quality image).
( Me on the bridge of the starship Enterprise (note, it's a large file) )

I've been helping
rosemilk recover some of her graphics for Furcadia. I've almost cracked it so I'm pleased...and will be more so once it's done.
Also thanks to
rosemilk, I've been wanting to watch through Deep Space Nine again...soon I shall.
I've been following E3. The Wii looks very impressive, despite the silly name. Lucasarts really should produce a lightsaber game for it, something which I am told they are very aware of.
Star Trek: Legacy is also looking rather good.
Finally a Spore presentation video, featuring Robin Williams
Tomorrow I'm off to a comic convention being held near here. I had better prepare my Dark Jedi costume. I'll take a picture of myself in it tomorrow :)
EDIT: Costume ready. I also forgot to mention that today I created an account with Youtube and I've been uploading some of my short video files there. Link

Perhaps the most amusing mod for Bridge Commander yet, it adds Tribbles!
I think I should try it ;)
EDIT: AHAHAHA So I tried it...I beamed the Tribbles onto a Borg Cube...and the cube shut down!

...it was almost inevitable really.
Star Trek vs Star Wars
The cuts are a little off in places but that doesn't mean it isn't amusing.
