Snow Photos

I took these just after my post about the snow.

Photos

They probably won't be anything special to those of you who get snow every year but you can see what it looks like where I live :)

EDIT: Also this is funny, check the third image here.

Looking for the right kind of Doctor

Yeah, I went back again. I was thinking they would finish filming soon and it would have been great to spot them before the year long break. No such luck though.

On the plus side, I got some great new photos and had a good burger. And bought a Dalek.

Shadows and Angels

As I was walking home from the bus today, I was looking at my shadow and realised who it made me look like. So I got back, grabbed my camera and went outside again to take a photo.

I also now have two Weeping Angels, which I just used to create my new userpic :)

Amber Benson

So yesterday I got to meet Amber Benson for the fourth time and bought the DVD of her film, Lovers, Liars and Lunatics.

You know what was really great? I approached the table, before uttering a single word she asked "So how's the film making going?" and then went on to talk about the Consanguinity DVD I gave her over TWO years ago.

Plus more photos of Cardiff and the outside of the Doctor Who exhibition.

The Imperial Navy - Yes I know...there's a lack of Imperial Star Destroyers. I don't have any yet...which is something I plan to correct shortly. The Venator's had to do.

Capital Ships

Fighters and light transports

Once I have those ISDs, I can go out and conquer the galaxy ;)

Collectormania 10

Oct. 2nd, 2006 | 01:33 am
mood: pleased pleased

This weekend, I went to Collectormania 10 in Milton Keynes. I got to meet Alice Krige (The Borg Queen in Star Trek), Juliet Landau (Drusilla from Buffy) and Amber Benson (Tara, also in Buffy). I also wanted to meet Dave Prowse, I've met him before on my 13th birthday, so it would have been good to do the same again for my 23rd) but sadly I ran out of time.

Pictures!

I don't like what my hair did.

Also, see my cousin in the stormtrooper picture :)

I didn't get a picture with Amber Benson, the girl sitting next to her was being...difficult...but I found one from last year. Also last year I gave her a copy of Consanguinity on DVD, which she remembered and talked about with me today, she actually watched and liked it! :D

I also saw Julie Caitlin Brown again, she was managing and not appearing as a guest. Still, I got to say hello and she told me to stop growing up so fast :)

I had a good time, but now I should finish reading for college tomorrow. I really hope I don't have to take the big stack of books with me.

A week

Jul. 6th, 2006 | 05:15 pm
mood: hungry hungry

So for the last week, my longtime friend [info]skyealloway was visiting. I took her to see Bath, Wells and Bristol. She also came to the convention with me and we had a great time.

I also introduced her to Doctor Who, Babylon 5 and Spaced, which she enjoyed the most and took home copies of both seasons on DVD.

The convention was good too, sadly we didn't get too meet anyone (the queues were huge for Carrie Fisher and Elijah Wood and Christopher Lee had cancelled due to an injury).

A few weeks ago I interviewed Julie Caitlin Brown (Na'Toth in Babylon 5), she was there at the weekend too but not as a guest. She's the manager for the majority of the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis cast members but I did talk to her and she remembered me and the interview. She was also pleased to hear the fans enjoyed it.

There are plenty of photos, which I shall upload as soon as I fix my gallery, something I intend doing after dinner.

She went home yesterday though :(

I can also proudly claim to be one of the first people in the country to see Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest.

EDIT: I've met a lot of online friends lately, I see no reason to stop. Who's next?

EDIT2: The gallery has been fixed! photos! (look out for the Star Wars themed photos...Stormtroopers, Jedi Knights, Captain Antilles, Ysanne Isard, Boba Fett and Lord Vader himself!)

I've uploaded photos from my recent trip to America. There were so many (338 out of 496 uploaded), I decided it would be easier to setup another gallery, rather than use my old one (it's still there).

It's a rare chance to see me wearing something that isn't black.

My personal favourites:

Machinima gathering
CoyoteRepublic and I (my agent)
Caution Sign
Meeting Tiff and her brother
Neo's Coat I really wanted to "borrow" it
On the bridge of the Enterprise
Meeting a Ferengi
Meeting a Klingon
Meeting the Borg
Another Klingon
Quark's Bar
Meeting the Andorian Female
Helicoptor I didn't go in it. I went in this one instead :D

So I have scanned the first picture from my trip. I can assure you all that it is completely unedited.

So now I present the best picture of myself that I have (it looks better in person, I'll see about scanning a higher quality image).

Living in Darkness

mood: geeky geeky

Ah, the joys of being one with the Dark Side ;)

Today I went to the Bristol Comic Expo. People noticed my costume, so I had a few photos taken for/with them, which is always fun. There were two girls who took some photos and then afterwards started saying they should have dressed up. Maybe they will next time.

Hopefully I made some new friends too.

See my costume )

I know I wear that one to most conventions but it's my favourite.

I also met R2-D2 )

I bought two rather bizzare comics called Tozzer and Tozzer 2, very funny...just bizzare :)
