Publicity

My college wants to use me for publicity, they asked for a photo and anything they could use as examples of my achievements.
So I've taken some high quality photos of the book that Consanguinity was featured in and also sent a link to this podcast.
This is the first time (yeah I know, it's only taken 2 and a half years) I've put some decent quality images of the book online, so if anyone wants to have a look, here's a link.

Final Post (of the year, not ever)

curious
It's the end of the Earth year 2007 and I'm thinking over what I've been doing for the last 12 months. Focusing on the good, not dwelling on the bad.
So what are the highlights of the year?
Meeting J. Michael Straczynski in May, he is the mind behind Babylon 5 and one of the three people (George Lucas and Joss Whedon being the other two) who I believe inspired my interest in storytelling and film making.
Again in May, meeting my long time friend Kim and her mum when they visited London. Pizza, a convention and good conversation seems like the perfect way to celebrate 10 years of friendship.
Not really expecting anything to come of it, I submitted a video I made (The Death of Jar Jar) to the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge this year. It turned out to be one of 17 nominees in the contest, was seen by George Lucas and shown at both Celebration IV and Celebration Europe.
I visited Montreal in November for Festival Arcadia to help out with the Machinima Roadshow booth. Also, leading upto that event I worked on and finished the third entry in my Star Wars Darkness Saga and I'm very proud of the results.
Finally, I finished writing a very long original script which I'm using for my final project for college.
That's it for now. Happy new year everyone :D

2006

thoughtful
2006 was an interesting year for me. Starting off in January (where else?) which mostly involved recovering from the apocalypse that was Christmas 2005. This month saw DaS Entertainment changing into Bathtub Productions, resolving past conflicts with a girlfriend from a long time ago and making new friends such as
ywingempress,
inmyspiritroom,
boter and of course
elfin_archer.
February saw me completing Star Wars: The Darkness Consumes, with the previously mentioned ex-girlfriend taking over the voice acting for Verrier, who also helped me go back to Star Wars: Falling into Darkness and recorded Verrier's lines to provide consistancy. She did an excellent job on both counts and I find it strangely ironic that she's now voicing a character that was inspired by her own Star Wars roleplaying character in the first place :)
March was fairly uninteresting.
April saw me making friends with
pattinsonism and her friend Fern.
In May I went to Los Angeles, meeting with my agent, Ingrid and
rgrove. That was my first trip to America and it was great to meet those people. I also met up with my very long time friend Tiff and her brother Bernie (it's coming upto 10 years). I also got to see Las Vegas, with most of my time spent at the Star Trek Experience :)
Shortly after returning home in June, I met another longtime internet friend,
skyealloway who came to stay for a week. I took her to see Bath, Bristol, Wells and we also went to a convention in London.
Following that, I spent most of the time working on The Chronicles of Humanity with the help of my friend
rosemilk (which I'm still working on, I had a few setbacks)
September saw me returning to college, continuing the course I was supposed to be taking after it was cancelled last year.
In October...more specifically my birthday I went to the Games Career Fair in London, met lots of interesting people and gave a DVD of my Star Wars Machinima productions to a Lucasfilm representative. This is when I became good friends with
elfin_archer as well. Another highlight of October was meeting Amber Benson again, I gave her chocolates...she gave me a cuddle. She also remembered the copy of Consanguinity that I gave her on DVD last year and told me she liked it.
November had me travelling to New York for the 2006 Machinima Film Festival, meeting with the machinima people I met back in May/June and many more who all came to the event. Brilliant!
I met yet another long time friend,
sanfam, who provided accomodation for the trip and came to the festival as well. He also introduced me to his friend
aurura_nine.
December: Wii.
That concludes my report of 2006, let's hope 2007 continues to build on the successes of the year gone by.
