Sin

Which "sin", when exhibited by other people, do you find hardest to forgive? And the easiest? Why? Reply below or duplicate this in your LiveJournal.

Betrayal.

When you trust someone and believe that they would never do anything to hurt you and then they do, it's hard to forgive that...especially when that person is the one you trust more than anyone else in the world.

There is no excuse for betrayal on that level and there can be no forgiveness, no matter what is said. All there can be is a sense of satisfaction of knowing that one day, those who betray will do it again and will learn what it feels like themselves.

Wrath is the easiest sin to forgive. Feeling angry is part of being human, it's certainly something I know a lot about, especially recently.

The real danger is when people become consumed by the need for revenge that they lose themselves in it and all is lost. I can't say I haven't faced that temptation but I was able to turn away from it. If I hadn't...who knows what I would have done.

On a related note, I posted something about betrayal awhile ago too.
