Darth Angelus' Meditation Chamber

Recently Bear McCreary (composer for Battlestar Galactica and Caprica) ran a web design contest for the BSG Orchestra.

So I decided to enter and while I didn't win (part of me is glad since it would involve last minute travel plans to San Diego for Comic Con week, yeah not fun), here's part of the email I was sent this evening:

"We were truly amazed by the high caliber of work you turned in. Bear is so impressed with your design, he would like to offer you Limited Edition - The Best Of Battlestar Galactica - Seasons 1-4 Album. These were made exclusively for, and given to, cast and crew to celebrate the "Battlestar Galactica" Series Finale. Bear has had them under a pretty tight lock and key since then."

Everyone who submitted a design is getting one of those but I am still very pleased.

Katherine's nightmares grow worse as the Nightgale crew ferries Waresh to Mars for a conference about possible alien life. While there, Katherine meets an old friend who sets her on a path to recovery.

Why am I using that as my wallpaper? Shouldn't it be obvious? It's a photo taken outside the exotic tea place that I met up with Felicia Day last september. She was just as funny and friendly as I imagined she would be, so I'm very glad I had the chance to spend time with her before returning home.

Temporarily assigned to another ship, Captain Heyman and crew are sent on a mission to track down the surviving rebels from Titan.

Last night as my twitter page was being flooded with tweets about the Earthquakes in LA, this thought occured to me:

"
100 years ago it would take days for word of the earthquake to spread, 10 years ago it would take hours, 1 year ago it was minutes, now it's seconds."

I'm not sure it can get any faster than that but it's pretty impressive how things have changed over time.

The only complaint I have is that I added the entire cast but for some reason they only accepted five names, so I've submitted an update, hopefully they'll put everyone who is missing up quickly.

Miracle Laurie (Dollhouse) tweeted a phone number yesterday for Fox, the idea being that fans could call and ask about the show being renewed to generate interest.

So many people did it and ended up crashing the line. Now Dollhouse and Terminator fans are fighting over which group was responsible.

So I saw the new Star Trek film on Thursday, it was very good but not quite my favourite.

Now I'm off to London for a Firstones.com meet up to see it again, this time at an imax cinema ;)

Also, it's odd typing html on a cellphone.

The great people at Buffyfest discovered that Felicia Day is involved with and asked for an interview. That went up today and can be found here.
